LCA Arts strives to provide enriching, uplifting, and diverse opportunities for our students to explore their God-given artistic gifts and reflect His truth and beauty.

“Art is when we do work that matters in a creative way, in a way that touches [people] and changes them for the better.”

Theatre programs at LCA are available within three different age categories. Elementary Theatre is for students in 3rd-5th grades, are whimsical in nature, typically are shorter in nature, and are performed for one night only in each of the fall and spring semesters.

Junior High Theatre is available for students in 6th-8th grades with two performances in both the fall and spring semesters. The fall show is a play, whereas the spring show is a musical.

Senior High Theatre is offered to students in 9th-12th grades, with the fall show being a play and the spring show being a musical. SH Theatre has also recently begun competing in the local TAPPS One Act play competition in the fall. Involvement in high school theatre requires commitment and dedication to attending extra rehearsals and extensive rehearsals during tech week and the evenings of their performances.

Visual Arts

The LCA Department of Visual Arts is composed of art, photography, and journalism. Importantly, we long for the arts to be another form of worship. Through the visual arts, we hope to capture, create, and tell our stories and the ultimate story of our Father’s heart. We strive to imitate His creativity and inspire others with our painting, with our words, and with the snap of a moment.

Worship Arts

Worship Arts at LCA seeks to equip students to be effective worship leaders by helping students identify & cultivate their God-given musical and creative gifts.

The vision of Worship Arts is for our graduates to be the worship leaders and band members of the local church. Praise Band has a history of our students continuing to be involved in church and leading worship for many years after they have graduated from LCA; in fact several students have gone on to make a career out of music.

Praise Band seeks to be involved in the local community as much as possible. LCA Praise Bands have lead worship at local churches and performed at community events. We also promote music and the worship arts every year through our Beautiful Noise event. This is a night dedicated to showcasing the fine arts, and is open to all members of our community!

Our program, known as Praise Band, allows students to lead modern worship music at a high level of excellence. We strive to provide students with the best training possible and to give them access to professional quality musical and technical equipment.

Drumline

Worship and praise come in many different forms. Some people sing, some write poems or hymns, some dance, and some beat to the rhythm of their own drum. LCA’s Drumline artistically drums their praises to the LORD as they encourage, motivate, and bring excitement to their fellow Warriors during school events. As a branch of LCA’s Arts Program, students grow in their faith while building camaraderie with their peers, learning and increasing drum skills, and gaining performance experience.
